📌 What’s the Update?
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has asked certain JEE Main 2026 applicants to verify their identity proof submitted during registration.

Deadline: January 15, 2026

Applies to candidates who:

Did not use Aadhaar as identity proof, or
-
Whose live photograph did not match UIDAI records
-
📄 What Do Affected Candidates Need to Do?
Such candidates must upload:

A signed and attested certificate
-
A recent photograph, duly certified
✅ Who Can Attest the Documents?
Earlier, only school/college heads were allowed. Due to accessibility issues, NTA now permits attestation from:

School/College Principal or Headmaster

Class-I Gazetted Officers, such as:

Tehsildar
-
Revenue Officer
-
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM)

District Magistrate (DM)
-
Indian Embassy Class-I Officer (for NRI candidates)
