Indian Air Force Kicks Off Agniveervayu Recruitment 2027: Registration Begins Today
New Delhi: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has officially launched the recruitment drive for Agniveervayu Intake 01/2027, inviting unmarried Indian male and female candidates to join the force under the Agnipath Scheme. The online application window opens today, January 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
This recruitment offers young aspirants a chance to serve in the IAF for a tenure of four years. The IAF has strictly advised candidates to apply early to avoid last-minute technical glitches, as no extension of the registration deadline will be granted.

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: Candidates must be born between January 1, 2006, and July 1, 2009. The upper age limit is capped at 21 years at the time of enrollment.
Marital Status: Only unmarried candidates are eligible. Recruits must remain unmarried during their four-year tenure. Female candidates are additionally required to undertake not to get pregnant during the engagement period.
Educational Qualifications:
Science Subjects: Class 12 pass with Math, Physics, and English (min. 50% aggregate & 50% in English). Diploma holders in Engineering and vocational course graduates are also eligible.
Other Than Science Subjects: Class 12 pass in any stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.
Selection Process & Salary
The selection will be conducted in three phases: an Online Objective Test, followed by Physical Fitness & Adaptability Tests, and finally a Medical Examination. Selection for subsequent stages will be state-wise based on normalized marks.
Salary: Starting monthly salary of ₹30,000 with annual increments.
Exit Benefits: After four years, candidates receive a Seva Nidhi package of approx. ₹10.04 lakh.
Permanent Commission: Up to 25% of the batch may be enrolled into the regular cadre based on merit and organizational requirements.
