The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to close the registration window for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2026 session very soon. Candidates aspiring for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professorship, or PhD admissions must complete their applications before the fast-approaching cutoff.

Steps to Apply Online

and register using a valid email ID and mobile number.ugcnet.nta.ac.in Form Filling: Log in with your application number and password to complete the personal and academic details.
Upload Documents: Provide scanned copies of your recent photograph (10 KB–200 KB) and signature (4 KB–30 KB) in the prescribed JPG/JPEG format.
Fee Payment: Pay the category-specific fee and download the Confirmation Page for future reference.
Exam Pattern & Schedule
The UGC NET June 2026 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for 85 subjects.
Duration: 180 minutes (3 hours) – No break between Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Shift Timings:
Shift 1: 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Shift 2: 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM
Important Instructions
Eligibility: General category candidates must have secured at least 55% marks in their Master’s degree (50% for reserved categories).
Age Limit for JRF: Maximum 30 years as of June 1, 2026. There is no upper age limit for candidates applying only for Assistant Professorship.
No Multiple Forms: Only one application per candidate is allowed. Submission of multiple forms may lead to cancellation of candidature.
