  • Mandatory Requirement: Please note that the hall ticket will only be available to students who have paid the requisite examination fee and whose photographs are on record with the institute.

Essential Guidelines for Exam Day

To ensure a smooth examination process, NIOS has issued the following directives for all candidates:

  1. Identity Proof: Along with the hall ticket, students must carry their original NIOS Identity Card.

  2. Practical Files: Candidates are required to bring their completed Practical Records/Notebooks as these carry specific marks during the internal assessment.

  3. Reporting Time: Students should arrive at the study center at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

  4. COVID-19/Safety Protocols: While regular classes have resumed, many centers continue to advise students to follow basic hygiene protocols and avoid crowding at the entry/exit gates.

What’s Next? Theory Exams

The Theory Examinations for the April 2026 session are tentatively scheduled to begin in the first week of April 2026. The detailed date sheet for theory papers is expected to be released by the NIOS headquarters within the next few days.

As thousands of learners—ranging from school-age students to working professionals—prepare for their practicals, the NIOS administration has deployed observers to ensure the transparency and integrity of the assessment process.
