JEE Main 2026: Session 2 Registration Closes Tonight; Paper 2 Results Declared
NEW DELHI – The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conclude the registration process for the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 tonight, February 25. Engineering aspirants who wish to appear for the April session have only a few hours left to submit their applications.
Final Call for Registration
The application portal on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, will remain active until 9:00 PM IST. However, candidates are granted a small grace period for fee payments, which can be completed until 11:50 PM IST.
The NTA has clarified that no further extensions will be provided. This session is open to:
Fresh Candidates: Those who did not apply or appear for the January session.
Repeaters: Students who appeared in Session 1 and wish to improve their NTA scores. For these candidates, the better of the two scores will be considered for the final ranking.
Correction Window Dates Announced
Recognizing that students may make errors during the high-pressure registration phase, the NTA has scheduled a two-day correction window.
Dates: February 27 to February 28, 2026 (up to 11:50 PM).
What can be edited: Most personal and academic details, including exam city and medium, though some fields like mobile number and email ID remain frozen.
Session 1 Paper 2 Results Out
In a major update for architecture and planning aspirants, the NTA officially declared the Session 1 Paper 2 (B.Arch and B.Planning) results yesterday, February 24.
Statistics: Out of over 97,000 registered candidates for Paper 2, approximately 66,000 students appeared for the exam held on January 29.
Toppers: Kerala dominated the charts, with Suryathejus S scoring a perfect 100 percentile in B.Arch and Gowri Sankar V achieving the same feat in B.Planning.
Ranks: Candidates should note that the current scorecards only display NTA percentiles. The All India Ranks (AIR) will be released only after the completion of the April session.
Upcoming Exam Schedule
The Session 2 exams are scheduled to take place between April 2 and April 9, 2026. The city intimation slips are expected to be released in the second week of March, followed by admit cards three to four days prior to the commencement of the exams.
Candidate Advisory: Students are advised to download and save their Session 1 scorecards immediately and complete the Session 2 registration before the 9:00 PM deadline to avoid last-minute server congestion.
