NEW DELHI – The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to permanently close the application portal for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2026 tonight, February 26. This special re-opened registration window was provided to accommodate students who missed the initial deadline for India's largest undergraduate entrance exam.
Crucial Deadline: No Further Extensions
Aspirants seeking admission to Central Universities, including DU, BHU, and JNU, as well as several participating state and private universities, must submit their forms on the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG, by 11:50 PM IST.
The NTA has emphasized that this is a one-time opportunity and no further requests for registration extensions will be entertained.
Important: No Correction Window
Unlike the primary registration phase, this special window comes with a strict "No Correction" policy.
Finality of Data: Candidates will not be given a chance to edit their application forms after submission.
Verification: Students are urged to double-check their Category, Subject Choices, University Preferences, and Contact Details before the final click. Any discrepancy could lead to the cancellation of candidature during the counseling process.
Exam Schedule and Mode
Exam Dates: The CUET UG 2026 is scheduled to be conducted between May 11 and May 31, 2026.
Mode of Exam: The test will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across various centers in India and cities abroad.
Medium: The exam will be offered in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
