CUET UG 2026: Final Call for Registration! Application Window Closes Tonight at 11:50 PM

New Delhi | February 4, 2026 — The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to officially close the registration window for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET-UG) 2026 tonight. After an earlier extension from January 30, the agency has confirmed that February 4 is the final date for candidates to submit their online application forms.

Students seeking admission to central, state, and participating private universities for the 2026-27 academic session must complete their registration by the midnight deadline to remain eligible.

⏳ Critical Timeline for Aspirants

With over 10 lakh applications already submitted, the portal is expected to experience high traffic today. Students are advised to take note of these non-negotiable timings:

  • Registration Deadline: Tonight, February 4, 2026, at 11:50 PM.

  • Last Date for Fee Payment: February 7, 2026 (up to 11:50 PM).

  • Correction Window: February 9 to February 11, 2026.

  • Exam Dates (Tentative): May 11 to May 31, 2026.

📝 Essential Steps to Apply

If you have not yet registered, follow these steps immediately on the official portal cuet.nta.nic.in:

  1. New Registration: Create a login ID using a valid email and mobile number.

  2. Form Completion: Fill in personal details, academic qualifications, and select your preferred universities and courses.

  3. Subject Selection: Choose your Domain Subjects, Language, and General Test papers carefully based on your target university's criteria.

  4. Document Upload: Upload a scanned copy of your photograph (10–200 KB) and signature (4–30 KB).

  5. Final Submission: Save the application and proceed to fee payment. Note: You can finish the fee payment until February 7, but the form itself must be submitted tonight.

⚠️ Important Warnings from NTA

  • Avoid Last-Minute Rush: NTA has issued an advisory warning that heavy server load in the final hours may cause slow page loading or payment failures.

  • Subject-Based Fees: The application fee varies based on the number of subjects selected. For general candidates, the base fee is ₹1000 for up to 3 subjects, with ₹400 for each additional subject.

  • Single Application Rule: Submission of multiple application forms by a single candidate will lead to immediate disqualification.

What’s Next?

Once the registration window closes, the Correction Window will open on February 9. During this 3-day period, students can edit specific fields such as their choice of subjects, exam city preferences, and academic details. However, primary contact details like email and mobile numbers cannot be changed.

For help, candidates can contact the NTA Help Desk at 011-40759000 or email cuet-ug@nta.ac.in.
