CBSE Board Examinations 2026: Official Admit Card Update for Classes 10 & 12

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is in the final stages of preparing the hall tickets for the upcoming Class 10 and 12 Board Examinations, scheduled to commence on February 17, 2026. While an official release is imminent, the board has not yet activated the download links for the current academic session.

In alignment with established protocols, CBSE typically issues admit cards 10 to 14 days prior to the start of examinations. Consequently, stakeholders can expect the official rollout during the first week of February 2026.

Distribution Channels

The method of procurement depends on the candidate's registration category:

  • Regular Candidates: Schools will download the admit cards via the secure CBSE institutional portal. Students are required to collect their physical copies directly from their respective educational institutions.

  • Private Candidates: These students may download their hall tickets directly from the official CBSE website once the dedicated portal is live.

Essential Credentials & Verification

The admit card serves as a mandatory legal document for entry into the examination hall. It will feature:

  • Candidate’s Full Name and Roll Number

  • Date of Birth (for Class 10)

  • Subject Codes and Examination Schedule

  • Designated Examination Centre Details

  • Candidate’s Photograph and Signature

Critical Requirement: For regular students, the admit card is only valid if it bears the official signature and stamp of the School Principal/Head of Institution. Unsigned documents may result in the candidate being barred from the examination.

Candidate Advisory

Students are urged to conduct a thorough audit of all information printed on the hall ticket. If any discrepancies—such as spelling errors or incorrect subject codes—are identified, candidates must notify their school administration or the regional CBSE office immediately for rectification.

For real-time updates and official notifications, please monitor the board's primary website at cbse.gov.in.
