CLAT 2026 Results Declared; Bengaluru Emerges as Top UG Performer

New Delhi:
The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) on Monday announced the results of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026, conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes offered by National Law Universities (NLUs) and other participating institutions. Candidates can access their results on the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

The exam recorded a high attendance rate of 96.01 per cent. Of the candidates who appeared, 57 per cent were females, 43 per cent males, and nine were transgender. Around 92,000 candidates had registered for the examination, of which 75,009 appeared for the undergraduate test and 17,335 for the postgraduate test.

In the CLAT 2026 undergraduate examination, the highest score stood at 112.75. Among the top 100 rank holders, male candidates outnumbered females, with 64 males and 36 females securing positions. Bengaluru emerged as the best-performing city in the UG category, producing 15 candidates in the top 100, followed by Delhi with eight and Mumbai with seven.

For the postgraduate examination, the highest score recorded was 104.25. The gender distribution among the top 100 PG rankers showed a near balance, with 52 females and 47 males. New Delhi led the performance chart in the PG category, contributing 22 candidates to the top 100, including 12 males and 10 females. Jabalpur ranked second with eight toppers, while Jaipur secured third place with seven.

The CLAT 2026 examination was held on December 7 across 126 centres in 25 states and four Union Territories. The results will form the basis for admissions to UG and PG law programmes at NLUs and other law colleges across the country.
