The NBEMS Diploma Final consists of two stages:

Theory Examination

Eligibility:

Only candidates who qualify in the theory exam are permitted to appear for the practical examination.

Candidates who fail the theory exam must reappear for the theory in subsequent sessions.

🧪 Practical Examination Policy

The practical examination of the same session (in which the theory exam is cleared) is considered the First Attempt, regardless of attendance.

Candidates unsuccessful or absent in the First Attempt are allowed two additional attempts in the next three consecutive sessions.

Thus, a candidate has a maximum of three attempts to clear the practicals after passing the theory.
🎓 Purpose

The NBEMS Diploma Final is an exit examination for award of the NBEMS Diploma qualification in the respective medical discipline.

It is conducted biannually — in June and December every year.
