NEW DELHI: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 counselling has been postponed until further notice. As per ANI, NEET 2024 counselling for All-India Quota (AIQ) seats was initially scheduled to commence on July 6 but has now been put on hold. This decision comes after the Supreme Court refused to delay the NEET UG 2024 counselling process.

The NEET 2024 counselling will start separately for each state, covering 85% of seats in government colleges and 100% of seats in private colleges. NEET UG counselling 2024 consists of several rounds including stray vacancy and mop-up rounds. In NEET 2024 counselling candidates are required to register, pay counselling fees, choose their preferences and confirm them, upload required documents, and then physically report to their assigned institute.

Following the announcement of the NEET 2024 results on June 4, 2024, concerns arose regarding exam irregularities and a high number of top scorers. As a result, NEET 2024 re-exam was held on June 23, specifically for 1,563 candidates who were given grace marks. The NEET 2024 re-exam results were announced on July 1. Candidates who did not appear in the NEET 2024 re-exam were awarded the original scores without the grace marks. For those who took the re-exam, their re-NEET 2024 scores will be considered final. The NEET 2024 counselling process will be conducted collectively for all eligible candidates.
