PPC 2026: PM Modi to Host 9th Edition of 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' in Early February; Themes Focus on 'Life Beyond Marks'
New Delhi | January 30, 2026
The Ministry of Education has officially confirmed that the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC), Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship interaction with the student community, is tentatively scheduled for the first week of February 2026. This year, the initiative has reached an unprecedented scale with over 6.76 crore participants—including students, teachers, and parents—registering to be part of the dialogue.
Focus Theme: "Life Beyond Marks"
Moving beyond traditional academic stress, the 2026 edition will center on the theme "Life Beyond Marks." The Prime Minister is expected to emphasize holistic development, mental well-being, and the idea that examinations are a celebration of learning (Utsav) rather than a source of fear.
The Ministry has outlined several key sub-themes for this year’s interaction:
Make Exams a Celebration: Encouraging a positive and stress-free approach to assessments.
Mental Health & Well-being: Breaking the stigma and building emotional resilience.
Technology & Finance: Navigating the digital world responsibly.
Viksit Bharat @2047: Connecting student aspirations to the nation's future.
A Historic "Pan-India" Interaction
In a significant departure from previous years where the event was primarily hosted at Delhi's Talkatora Stadium, PPC 2026 has gone truly "Pan-India." For the first time, the Prime Minister will engage in simultaneous direct dialogues across multiple locations including Coimbatore, Raipur, Dev Mogra, and Guwahati, effectively connecting the East, West, North, and South on a single platform.
Record-Breaking Participation
The 2026 edition has shattered previous records:
Total Participation: 6.76 Crore+ (up from 3.56 crore in 2025).
Direct Registrations: Over 4.5 crore students on the MyGov portal.
School Activities: 2.26 crore students participated in run-up events like the Swadeshi Sankalp Daud and writing competitions between January 12 and January 23.
How to Watch
The main event will be broadcast live across all major platforms:
TV: DD National, DD News, DD India, and major private channels.
Radio: All India Radio (Medium Wave & FM).
Online: Live streaming on PMO, Ministry of Education, MyGov.in, and the NaMo App.
GPC WORLD Advice: "With Board exams and entrance tests like CUET and JEE Session 2 just around the corner, this interaction serves as a vital morale booster. We encourage all our students to tune in to gain perspective on managing time and stress effectively."
